My second trip to Matava, and sixth dive trip to Fiji! Yes, the diving is always is good in Fiji, but what makes Matava so amazing is the people -Â simply a great dive resort!
October 2011, Cabo Pulmo & La Paz, Mexico
Whale Shark Proof!
Great 4 day adventure with buddy and underwater photographer Antonio Frias (Baja Diver) and buddy Paco Ussel! We dove the 86°F (30°C) waters near La Paz and Cabo Pulmo. Oh yeah….and I finally got to snorkel with a Whale Shark! See the picture for proof!
February 2011, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador

A photograph of our dive group in front of the famous “Darwin’s Arch”, near Darwin Island, Galapagos Is., Ecuador. We had just finished snorkeling near the arch with sea lions and turtles (done diving for the day). Great trip, great divers, great diving….average crew, crappy boat!
October 2010, Puerto Galera & Dumaguete, Philippines

Great 2-week Atlantis Resort’s reconnaissance diving trip to the Philippines. The first week diving around their resort in Puerto Galera, the second week spent diving around their Dumaguete resort. Oh yeah….did I mention I’m going back in January, 2013! The diving was that good!

My 5th dive trip to Fiji, but my first dive trip to Southern Fiji, and first dive trip to the Eco Dive Resort Matava! Well, Matava did not disappoint! Adjacent to the Great Astrolabe Reef, the diving was very, very good.
February 2009, Kailua–Kona, HawaiÊ»i
My good buddy and professional underwater photographer Derek Tarr (derektarr.photo) and I headed to Kona for some reconnaissance shore and boat diving.
October 2008, Sulawesi (& Lembeh Strait), Indonesia
Another reconnaissance trip, this time with Doug Gueldner, to Indonesia. We spent a week diving the Lembeh Strait, followed by another 8 days diving on a liveaboard throughout Northern Sulawesi.
May 2008, Roatan & Utila, Honduras
Two weeks diving the Bay Islands! One week in Utila, followed by a second week in Roatan.
October 2007, Spirit of the Solomons Liveaboard, Solomon Islands
Fun trip lead by Doug Gueldner. Fantastic diving through the Russell and Florida Island chains of the Solomon Islands. One word – pristine!
